WHO'S IN?

When the fashion world lost one of it's most creative and inspiring designers, Alexander McQueen, everyone wondered what would happen to the label. McQueen is impossible to replace. The Gucci Group, which owns Alexander McQueen, was specific that the label would continue. The speculation is that McQueen's previous running mate, Sarah Burton, will become the new creative director. Burton had been working with McQueen since she was 16 years old. She released a statement confirming her new position; 'The creation of modern beautifully crafted clothes was at the heart of Lee’s vision. I intend to stay true to his legacy.'

According to WWD, MAC Cosmetics will be teaming up with Disney to release a limited edition collection of lipsticks, powder, lip gloss, eye shadows, and blush. The collection will be named Venomous Villains and will feature Disney characters which have yet to be named. Prices will range from $12 to $29.50 and will be available in September.

I'm guessing two of the villains will be Ursula from The Little Mermaid and Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmations. They just seem appropraite.

KARL LAGERFELD DIRECTS

When Karl Lagerfeld was in Saint Tropez debuting the Chanel Cruise collection, he was also there to debut his 17 minute film called "Remember Now". This marks the designers directorial debut. But don't get it twisted. This isn't in the same vein as Tom Ford's "A Single Man". It's very closely related to fashion and features some of fashions most important models such as Heidi Mount, Freja Beha Erichsen, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Karolina Kurkova, Baptiste Giabiconi and Leigh Lezark. The film mainly stars Elisa Sednaoui and Pascal Greggory. Lagerfeld recently spoke to WWD; "When I do a film, I see the movie before I've made it. I don't make scripts because it's written in my head. I like short one-liners."

This isn't Lagerfeld's first time behind a camera. He frequently shoots his own campaigns, recently photographing Vanessa Paradis for Chanel's Coco Cocoon bags.
