Pea in a Pod

Nicole Richie has added a maternity line to her list of long fashionable accomplishments. Along with her House of Harlow 1960 jewellery collection, Nicole has designed (and will model) a maternity line for A Pea in the Pod.

“Pea in the Pod is such a known company for pregnant women. They carry great lines, and so when they asked me to create a line for them, I was really excited and eager to do it.”

Nicole is currently pregnant with her second child and is well aware at what women are looking for. “You really feel like you have to change your whole wardrobe. And that’s the last thing a woman wants to go through. So I really tried to make this line to get women excited about wearing clothes.”

Nicole is the post child for boho chic so expect the line to follow that path. Think a lot of layering, peasant tops, maxidresses, braided details and colourful patterns. The prices aren't out of control either. The line ranges from tank tops starting at $48 to maxidresses for $148.

“It feels great to see everything come to life. It’s the best feeling in the world to have your visions and dreams coming together. I’m so excited for people to see them. I just hope that people like it.”

"Nicole", an excludive collection for A Pea in the Pod, hits stores this Friday.

House of Harlow 1960

Nicole Richie stopped by Holt Renfrew in Toronto this week for the Canadian debut of her new jewellery line House of Harlow 1960. The line is named after her one year old daughter, who is named after actress Jean Harlow. The line is also inspired by her love of 60's fashion. Richie was also inspired by the jewellery she picks up on her worldwide travels. Hundreds of girls showed up to meet the designer and she documented her trips to Toronto and Montreal on her Twitter page.

Richie teamed up with celebrity jeweller Pascal Mouawad on House of Harlow 1960. The lines features a mix of different materials and styles, including leather, silk strings, chains, rivets and gold-plated metals. There is also a storng African feel to the pieces. The line includes rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and headpieces.

The line will be sold exclusively at Holt Renfrew in Canada.
