European designer Marco Zanini who was named the most recent successor of the Halston label is rumoured to have been let go by the brand. Zanini was brought in to revitalize the brand and showed a Fall 2008 collection, but apparently the clothes neither connected with celebrities or clients. It is still unsure whether or not Zanini designed Halston’s Spring 2009 which is set to show at the next New York Fashion week, September 5-12. Halston is owned by The Wienstien Company and Hilco Consumer Capital.
