After the success of his first perfume "Daisy", Marc Jacobs introduced his second scent "Lola".Jacobs specifically picked the name Lola to be the antithesis to the friendly Daisy. He envisioned Lola as being the "vampy older sister" to Daisy.
Jacobs' told WWD, "where Daisy is more innocent and sweet, Lola is more sensual - the name conjures up a flirtatious, warm spirit," he said. "It was the first thing that came to my mind. It just felt natural in contrast to Daisy."
The scent features pink peppercorn, pear, vanilla, and grapefruit. It's a citrus based scent compared to Daisy which was naturally more floral.
"Fragrance is just as important as accessories, bags, and shoes are. Not only does it help set a mood, it's a luxury you can have no matter what your size or height or wallet. I'm happy to keep offering more choices. I know I like to rotate fragrances depending on my mood."
Lola will officially be in stores in the fall, but Bloomingdales will have a one month exclusive in August.
